What a nice thing to learn. I liked the part "unless your urine is coming out ice cold" - if your urine is coming out ice cold you're drinking far too much ice water.
Thinking further about this, I think they're wrong. You'll only burn extra calories if you're shivering or specifically more active to warm yourself up. People generally give off heat to our environments, since we are warmer than the air around us. If you reduce your body temperature you'll reduce this heat given off for a while, but that's it.

does this also mean, i burn calories everytime i drink a coke?
Yes, if it's ice cold. 25 of them for a 16 oz soda. Of course you now have 200 new calories to burn off.
Is that why I don't like cold water? Because it's another diet food!
