K,

I’m sorry to hear it. I’m sure you did a wonderful job. My opinion is that American Idol is only interested in the fast food group of singers and you’re more in the gourmet food category… fine wine and all. Thanks for sharing, you sound adorable. : )

k_sra, your voice is amazing, they don't know what they lost. Many more dreams where that came from. I'd give ya a hug if I were there!

That truly does suck, k. As Brian said, though - your voice is probably not best suited to the kind of pop pap they are trying to peddle. From what little I've heard of your talent, you're more "Joni Mitchell" than "Christina Aguillera". Thank god.

And besides - you threw yourself into the whole thing with admirable abandon and turned it into an adventure - not just for yourself but for all us tone-deaf stay-at-homes who just sat back and followed your Blog. Good on you, I say; and well done.

I'm glad you didn't make it, mostly for the reasons Brian already pointed out. But I'm sure Tracy Morgan would be happy to know you used his song...Catch a doo-doo pie, k_sra. Catch a doo-doo pie, we love you.

At least now you've made it to the fun part of the end of a dream. Finding or creating a new one. We're all proud of you, [k].

Wow. Ksra - great jorb. I mean to sing the doo doo pie song. That one is very complicated and trying to follow Tracy Morgan's footsteps and all. But seriously, you have the heart of a champion. l'il sisser. I am tres fier de toi. I am glad that you didn't make it too, only because I was lying awake the other night trying to think of cool slogans to put on a posterboard and wave around when you performed for our votes. You know slogans that spell a word down like

Freakin'
Owesome
Xylophones (or)

Ksra
of
Ohio
lol (see how hard that is)

not to mention the retrospectives n' shit. We would have to dig up old video footage of you singing. "Far From the Home I Love" would have been good, but I would have cringed to see "By Night By Day" on National television. Achhh Nugent I am so self-centered.
Good on ya KSRA (hey that could be a radio station)

Hey, thanks everybody for your very kind responses. I did have a good time. I am glad I did it and I too am glad I did not make it to Hollywood. I will keep working on my gourmet singing and in the meantime, keep on blogging in the free world. : )
