why do kids in picture books always have bright yellow hair?
And why is this yellow-haired freak wearing a turtleneck on what is obviously a desert plain in the middle of summer?
Don't you hate it when the illustrator obviously didn't read the story? (One sharp claw, my foot!)
And aren't you appalled when authors try to whitewash the world? We honestly don't know how velociraptors behaved, but it's a real stretch to claim that these things with viciously sharp teeth and claws are a) small; b) harmless.
Dinosaurs are great scary stories for Children love dinosaurs for two reasons: they're extremely big and scary; and they've been dead for a million years.
I thought it was eating another dinosaur's heart in the second picture. Boy, was I disappointed.
gcanjooo - "Juan can jump over the garbage can."
"Gee, can JOOO?"
(I got sick of these, but I couldn't pass this one up)
I forget where we got it, but my kids have a very nice picture book about the adventures of a young ichthyosaurus.
Nothin' cuddlier.
