Judging by the most recent ads in this month's Vogue, bad posture is very chic this season. Nothing sets off an elegant evening dress like a dehabilatating slouch. Being extremely skinny is a fun way to spice up this shlumpy look as you wander around looking like a starving cripple. Try slouching in the mirror. When your back hurts that means it's working!

That image on the bottom right is simply horrid. I have to believe that the photographer hates the model.

You should work with me, k_sra. No ennui required.

I see what you mean...from a human point of view.

But if you look at it purely as an image, the angles formed by her arms compliment the angle formed by her body. Try viewing it as though it were a frame in a comic strip, or a surrealist painting.

Whereas in the other image, the model is purely uncomfortable and awkward, and there is no visual redemption for what she's been put through.

I'm glad you are a monkey woman too ]

i went to school with a tall girl in grade 8 (not a model but built that way) who stood like these 'girls'. she has a permanent hunch, like a granny.
i surpassed her in the height department but managed not to learn the slouch :)

Women who were born without stomachs. It's a damn shame. One gusty wind could snap them like a Mr. Salty pretzel stick.
