I'm actually happy to hear it's cleaned nests made of saliva. I'd assumed it was uncleaned nests, eaten for their birdly flavors.
It's not too much more strange than eating other animal products - excreeted from niples, for example (I won't even touch on the strange things you omnivores eat).
I can imagine the bird flu argument, so I'll take mine well boiled please.
