OK, I'm a flaming liberal and even I thought the book was stupid. There's a sample page that shows Mommy Squirrel protecting her kids from the big, bad elephant. Sheesh!
And the "little man" about to be run over by him. HAHAHAHA! (I'm so sorry.) HAHAHAHA! *wipes tear* How's about a nice, fresh, hot cup o'propoganda? Anyone?
Just a suspicion, but it seems like it does a little too much toward confirming the idea that Democrats are in favor of a "nanny state."
Especially "Democrats make sure we all share our toys." I know it's supposed to be simplified so kids can understand it, but putting it that way makes Democrats into authoritarian communists. Wouldn't it be better to say "Democrats help people when they need help" or "Democrats pass laws that prevent the playground bullies from operating open-pit mines in the sandbox?"
Maybe I'm just bitter because my mom was a Republican who made me pay for my own healthcare.
