Coolest as-of-yet unreleased independent film. Watch the trailer, watch the podcasts. I'd like to see the film.

Step Into The Closet
R. Kelly - that freak on wheels - has launched the R&B opera to end all R&B operas (we hope) and has called it "Trapped In The Closet." Now if you haven't seen it, you need to see at least one of these bad boys (he threatens the world with 10 parts, but as of this moment we are only at 6). Now, I'm not bringing up Mr. Kelly's parapalegic attempts at filmmaking just to diss him, I am actually bringing up his parapalegic attempts at filmmaking in order for you to appreciate how Jimmy Kimmel dissed him.Required viewing:
First this one (and then these if you're dedicated)
And then these ones (Scroll down the "Late Night" tab to "The Opera")

Two Siblings

Ah, behold the power of persuasion and a total lack of common sense! Here I sit in a basement on the other side of town from my dwelling at nine in the morning blogging what will seem to me after a good morning's sleep, a total and complete waste of time.
Scratch that. Not a complete waste. Not at all. Very poor quality, but still worth the bother.
My brother Joel and I have made a short film!
That may be the only type of project that can keep me up all night. We started at 3:00 yesterday afternoon and have not ceased to work on it until say twenty minutes ago.
I am so tired I can't even poke fun at myself or at my readers. I am too tired to make any nonsensical, paradoxical or otherwise interesting anecdotes about the project. Tired... sleepy tired
So, enjoy, and take care and... (fails at wit) ok, bye.

Bring Me A Shubbery
Or just tell me the average velocity of a swallow. The Estimated Airspeed Velocity of an Unladen Swallow, that is. African or European, I hear you say? That's all included in this troublingly in-depth study. Go ahead and plunge into the physics that follow. I am too soft in the head to look past the introductory paragraph, but I just KNOW my nerdier friends will come trumpeting back with the report that the math is skewed or the kinematic ratios are off.

A Nerd's Nerd
On my way downtown to watch an international film I happened to see a group of four men wearing red helmets and riding segways. They were reaching top speeds of 5 mph and would stop frequently to be admired or to praise their two-wheeled rides to strangers and passers-by. I smirked. How silly of them, I thought, to be wearing helmets and traveling in a pack of four. How much nerdier can you get?
Just then I realized that I was wearing a "Vote for Pedro" t-shirt on my way to watch House of Flying Daggers and Ang Bok. At the library. Alone.
I have this theory that everyone is a nerd in some area. We all have that thing that makes us a little too excited, talk a little too animatedly. Some subject about which we know a little too much. Even posers are nerds. The desire to always look hot and poserly is what makes them nerds.
Well. I have to get back downstairs to watch the second feature.
"Just tell them that if they vote for you all their wildest dreams will come true."
Because they will. Live long and prosper.
